 Marie Lawson, RN Awarded Oncology Nursing Excellance Award Marie Lawson, RN was recently awarded the 2011 Excellence in Oncology Nursing Award at Relay for Life's opening ceremony on June 2, 2011 by The Longstreet Cancer Center. Each year, the physicians at The Longstreet Cancer Center recognize an oncology nurse who demonstrates a passion in caring for cancer patients, shows leadership qualities, is involved in the community and is a true patient advocate. The recipients are Registered Nurses who are members of the local chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society.  Nominations for the award were received through the Lanier Chapter of the Oncology Nursing Society. As part of the honor, Marie has been awarded a scholarship to attend the next Oncology Nursing Society National Conference. Marie is a registered nurse with the Northeast Georgia Diagnostic Clinic....Chemotherapy/Oncology Department. Congratulations Marie! |
