Comprehensive Physicals

Northeast Georgia Diagnostic Clinic offers Comprehensive Physicals to patients who want an exam with individualized attention. Your day-long comprehensive physical begins by meeting with a customer service representative who will initiate your examination with no waiting involved. Depending on your age, health status, family history and particular health concerns, a series of diagnostic procedures will be performed to help identify any problems and assist your physician in preparing a wellness strategy to help you achieve and maintain optimum health.

We pride ourselves in the amount of interaction our patients have with our physicians. This, coupled with advanced testing and diagnostic procedures, assures you of a thorough evaluation and one that’s tailored to your personal needs.

We are confident that your comprehensive physical will be enlightening and significantly enhance your quality of life. The comprehensive exam takes six to eight hours to complete.

The procedures offered are as follows:


Medical Examination and Counseling
Includes reviewing the patient’s medical history and performing the medical examination. This may include a pap test and pelvic examination.

Cardiovascular Screening
May include a resting EKG, exercise stress testing, echocardiography, thallium stress testing and Electron Beam Tomogram.

Laboratory Testing
Includes a complete blood count, blood sugar level, cholesterol profile, urinalysis,homocysteine, high sensitivity C-reactive protein, thyroid
stimulating hormone, and other tests as needed.

Medical Screening
Includes hearing, vision, and pulmonary testing; body fat measurement; and a strength and flexibility test.

Nutrition Consultations
Includes analysis of a three-day food record and a personalized recommendation from a registered dietitian.

Radiology Procedures
Includes X-rays, osteoporosis screening, sonography, mammography, and otherstudies as needed.

Comprehensive Written Report
Each patient receives interpretive test results and recommendations for a healthy lifestyle.

You will receive specific instructions about what to bring the day of your physical. Please be certain to follow the instructions explicitly so that we can gather the information needed to complete your exam. Within a few days, you will receive a customized and detailed report of
your exam results. You and your physician will have a clear picture of your current health status and can develop an effective, comprehensive plan to maintain the best possible health.
